EAST Lothian residents are being urged to take care tomorrow (Friday) morning after the Met Office issued a weather warning for ice for the county.
Although it is no longer expected to snow in East Lothian tomorrow and an earlier weather warning for snow for the county has now been removed, ice is expected to be an issue, with freezing temperatures forecast.
The Met Office has now issued a yellow 'be aware' warning for East Lothian, covering the period between midnight and 11am tomorrow morning.
Ice is expected to form overnight and last long enough into the morning to affect travel to work tomorrow, with the iceist roads likely to be smaller roads untreated with grit.
The Met Office adds that the ice could disrupt travel and lead to difficult driving conditions, with longer journey times possible.
The weather in East Lothian over the next 24 hours is expected to be sunny and dry, but very cold, with temperatures unlikely to get above 2 degrees centigrade and on occasions dropping below freezing.
