GULLANE residents are being encouraged to wear whatever they like each Friday throughout August.
Wear Whatever Fridays is calling on people in the village to wear what they want, together with a grin.
Tony Martin, who is behind the scheme, was hopeful that people would join in.
He said: “Let’s admit it, we are privileged and blessed to live in this beautiful area – whether on your own or bringing up a family with a variety of things to do and stay safe.
“This is due to all the volunteers who organise so many activities for us to enjoy. Thanks to them all.
“For Gullane Wear Whatever Fridays, we would have preferred to have an all-singing, all-dancing live music launch event out of doors, but we chose not to do that at the moment.
“Maybe we can have such an event later.”
