DINO’S on Haddington High Street has been recognised in the Scottish Parliament.
Crowned Best Pizza – East of Scotland at the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards, the business, which first opened its doors in 1989, was celebrated by Craig Hoy, South Scotland MSP.
The former Haddington and Lammermuir ward member praised the efforts of Tino Pacitti, who succeeded his dad Dino at the helm following Dino’s death in 2016.
Mr Hoy submitted a motion, which reads: “That the Parliament welcomes the news that Dino’s fish and chip shop in Haddington has won the Best Pizza for the East of Scotland award; praises Haddington resident, and owner, Tino Pacitti, for his service to the East Lothian community; commends the hardworking ‘Team Dino’s’ for its continuous effort and hard work; congratulates all East Lothian fish and chip shops for their commitment to the community, despite challenging times; and remembers fondly Tino’s late father, Dino, who served residents of Haddington with commitment and dedication.”
