TWO events to inform homeowners and private renters about home adaptations and living independently at home for as long as possible are taking place in North Berwick and Prestonpans.

East Lothian Council Housing Strategy and Care and Repair East Lothian have set up the events, with a range of third-sector groups signed up to chat to people and inform them about their services and support.

The events will be a mix of drop-in and organised speakers, all in the same room, so there will be limited opportunity to chat to stallholders whilst the speakers are on.

The speakers will share details about their organisation and what they offer, and will provide information in their field of expertise on the provision of adaptations, finding the right home, health and wellbeing, and support for carers.

The first event takes place on Saturday (March 2) at St Andrew Blackadder Church, North Berwick, 10am-2pm.

Speakers will be on between 10am and noon, with drop-ins from noon to 2pm.

The March 6 event takes place at Prestonpans Royal British Legion from 2pm to 7pm.

Speakers will be on between 3pm and 5pm, with drop-ins from 2pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm.
