HARD-WORKING volunteers have got their hands dirty to help clean up a section of beach.
Members of Bass Rock Community Group ventured out to support East Lothian Council Countryside Rangers in clearing geotextile from North Berwick’s East Beach.
A spokesperson for the community group told the Courier: “After all the recent storms, a lot of this had been exposed when the sand was washed away.
“We removed excess and left in place what was still appearing to support sand and dunes.
“We were guided by Robbie MacEwan and Sonja McLeod from countryside rangers – a job well done.”
