ELECTRIC vehicle charging points outside East Lothian’s McDonald’s restaurant have been given the go-ahead.
Two charging points will be installed within four existing parking spaces at the drive-thru off Dunbar’s Spott Road.
East Lothian Council’s planning department approved the proposals from InstaVolt Ltd at the end of last month.
No members of the public commented on the proposals.
The planning officer’s report noted: “The proposal is a significant distance from the nearest residential units and does not raise issues of residential amenity.”
