AN EVENT marking the 30th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide takes place in Haddington on Saturday.
The Rwandan diaspora and the Rwanda Scotland Alliance, with support from East Lothian Council, are holding a service in commemoration of the 1994 genocide.
It is estimated that between 500,000 and 800,000 Tutsi were killed over a period of about 100 days.
The event takes place in the town’s Corn Exchange from 1pm to 4pm.
Anyone interested is invited to attend.
