DARTS ace Gary Anderson will continue his quest for a third successive PDC World Championship title later today (Wednesday).

Anderson, from Musselburgh faces Dutchman Benito Van de Pas in London for a place in the last eight after a second straightforward win last week. 

The two-time world champion eased past Andrew Gilding 4-0 at Alexandra Palace last Friday – a day after his 46th birthday. 

The second seed, who has beaten Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis in the last two years to win his two championships. 

If he overcomes the challenge of Van de Pas, Anderson will return to action in the quarter-finals on Friday, with the semi-finals on New Year's Day. 

Anderson will hope he is at the oche for a third successive final on Monday evening.
