SOUTH of Scotland MSP Rachael Hamilton swapped the Scottish parliament for the netball courts last week.

She visited the Bass Rocketeers Netball Club at their North Berwick home, and trained with the squad.

The Conservative MSP said: ""It was great to train with Bass Rocketeers, East Lothian’s only netball club.

"Bass Rocketeers’ are doing a fantastic job here in East Lothian to promote the game to young and old.

"I’ll be sure to follow both Senior and Junior Bass Rocketeers’ progress as they advance through the leagues.

"But also let’s not forget the Bounce Back Club – providing an introduction or re-introduction to netball to those over the age of 18.

"It’s really important to promote netball here in East Lothian and throughout Scotland. It’s a brilliant game and a super fun way to stay active."

Elsewhere, the club's under-13 squad overcame Dunedin Lynx 42-21 in the Scottish Cup on Friday evening.
