ALEX Marshall and Derek Oliver will go for gold again at midnight (Friday).

The county duo are part of the Scotland men’s fours team alongside Jason Banks and former East Lothian bowler Paul Foster.

The quartet are in action at the World Bowls Championships in Australia.

Tonight, they face the home quartet of Corey Wedlock, Aaron Teys, Carl Healey and Aron Sherriff.

Wedlock, Healey and Sherriff came up against Marshall, of Tranent; Oliver, of Port Seton; and Foster, of Ayrshire, last week in the final of the men’s triples.

On that occasion, it was the Australian trio celebrating gold.

Now, Scotland will be hoping to go one better and finish on top of the podium.

Scotland came through the group phase with six wins and one draw from seven encounters.

In the quarter-finals, they defeated the Cook Island 20-12 before going on to end New Zealand’s bid with an 18-8 win.

Now, they take on Australia, who won the triples 17-8.
