WORLD Indoor Bowls Championship legend Alex Marshall booked his place in the second round of the tournament with a commanding victory over England’s Greg Harlow this afternoon.

Six-times singles champion Marshall, of Tranent, was in fine form at the Potters Holiday Resort, Norfolk.

He raced to a 6-2 lead in the first set... only to find himself 8-6 behind in the set’s ninth and final end.

But a wonderful last bowl from Tattie saw him claim three shots and win the first set 9-8.

In the second set, Harlow took a one-shot lead after the first end but it was all Marshall after that, a three at end five giving him a strong 7-2 advantage.

And a single for Marshall on end eight was enough to give him an unassailable 9-3 advantage and a place in the next round.
