TWO East Lothian sides have been left on the sidelines by postponements this afternoon, but the remaining four sides are all in action.

Tranent, Haddington Athletic and Musselburgh Athletic all have league encounters.

Meanwhile, Preston Athletic will look to progress in the King Cup.

In the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL), Tranent make the journey south to face Gretna 2008.

Dunbar United were due to be away from home in the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) Premier Division at Dundonald Bluebell but the match has been postponed.

Haddington welcome high-flying Hutchison Vale while Musselburgh host Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts.

In the cup, Ormiston's home match against Vale of Leithen has been postponed but Preston head to Midlothian and face Arniston Rangers.

Match of the Day

Haddington Athletic v Hutchison Vale

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

SECOND placed Hutchison Vale visit Millfield as Haddington Athletic look to get back to winning ways.

The county side slipped up against Dundonald Bluebell last weekend in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup having previously led.

Scott Bonar will hope to have players back fit for this encounter with the capital club, who are having a campaign to remember.

Haddington won the reverse fixture 1-0 but trail their visitors by seven points in the table – although, they do have a game in hand.

Gretna 2008 v Tranent

Scottish Lowland Football League

Kick-off 3pm

A WIN will surely be needed if Tranent are to keep alive their chances of catching East Kilbride at the top of the SLFL.

The gap currently sits at 14 points between the league leader and Ian Little’s men, who do have two games in hand.

It has been another season with promise in the fifth tier of Scottish football for Tranent.

In contrast, Gretna 2008 sit second bottom of the table and have conceded 96 goals in 25 league games.

Musselburgh Athletic v Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts

East of Scotland Football League Premier Division

Kick-off 2.30pm

ARGUABLY one of the main rivals to long-time league leaders Broxburn Athletic, Musselburgh Athletic will be looking to keep the pressure on.

Both Burgh and Jeanfield Swifts have three games in hand over their West Lothian rivals in the race for the EoSFL Premier Division title.

Burgh host an Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts side who are likely far enough clear to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle at the other end of the table.

Musselburgh won 4-0 at Humbug Park earlier this season and will be hoping to make it six points out of six.

Arniston Rangers v Preston Athletic

King Cup Second Round

Kick-off 2pm

PRESTON Athletic will be keen to avoid an unwanted treble when they face Arniston Rangers.

The Midlothian men won a league contest between the two sides and then matched that with a triumph in the South of Scotland Challenge Cup.

Frustratingly for the Pennypit side, they have actually picked up five points more than their rivals but been unable to get a win in the encounters.

Both sides will see the match as a good chance to progress.
