Longniddry Bowling Club opened its green for the new outdoor season with help from 10-year-old Lexie Blance.
Lexie, a Longniddry Primary School pupil, threw the first jack to officially open the green on Saturday.
The young Cockenzie resident is the granddaughter of club president Gary Findlay who is in his first year in the post.
The youngster is a keen bowler herself having been a club member for the last three years.
Despite some bad weather, bowling clubs across the county enjoyed opening day.
